Robin has always loved to draw and paint. She studied art at the University of Houston, and later completed a degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Human Resources Management. Throughout years of working in business management, she has continued to pursue art as her creative outlet through self study and taking classes with excellent painters such as Wanda Gamble and Enid Wood. She has taken workshops with several fabulous artists, including: Mike Beeman; Marsha Savage; and Marla Baggetta. She recently attended a week long workshop with the master painter Albert Handell.
Currently, she primarily paints with pastel, but continues to occasionally paint with oil, acrylic or watercolor. Study of light and shadows are her passion. She strives to capture the beauty of nature, especially from the ever changing sky. Growing up in Houston, she always had an appreciation of nature from camping and spending time on her Grandparent’s farm, but moving to Bastrop County allowed her to nurture this appreciation and it fuels her desire to reflect it on canvas and paper.
